Family Education
One
of the great needs identified in our resent
research is family education. With the family of
military veterans being a primary, long term
support ally, providing families with
instruction, advice, and counsel on how to "be
there" for their veteran is critical.
Family
education can take many forms. In person group,
in person one-on-one, telephonic, online video
chat, online text chat, and online video
library. Each format has its strengths and
weaknesses. AHR is committed to testing each
modality to establish a best-practices and
effectiveness rating of each. In any case, the
result will be additional resources to prepare
families to care for their wounded or PTSD
recovering veteran.
